Stage One: June 14, 2020
Onsite Campus services will resume at a limited capacity following physical distancing protocols. Families with children will worship together in the Worship Center as Kid’s Ministry remains available at our Online Campus only.
Stage Two: October 4, 2020
Onsite Campus Kid’s Ministry will resume at a limited capacity during both services for children ages 1 year – 4th grade following safety protocols. Pre-registration is required for Sunday Morning. Preteens (5th & 6th) will resume meeting on Wednesday nights from 6:30pm – 8pm.

Stage Two Overview
Below is an overview of some of the key points of Stage Two. The majority of the safety protocols implemented during Stage One will remain in place in order to ensure that Northwood remains a safe place where we can come together and worship as a family of faith. Below you can find key points regarding Stage Two of our Gathering Plan.

Service Times are 9am & 11am
- Our doors will open 20 minutes prior to each service
- You will be checked in prior to service but you no longer have to RSVP in advance for our main worship services
- Services will continue to be streamed live to our Online Campus
- Kid’s Ministry will resume Sunday mornings during both services for children ages 1 year – 4th grade. Pre-registration is required in order to reserve your child’s place in their Kid’s Ministry Classrooms
Sunday Morning Kid’s Ministry
Starting on Sunday, October 4, 2020 Northwood will begin to offer limited-capacity Kid’s Ministry to children ages 1 year to 4th grade at our Onsite Campus during both the 9am & 11am services. For safety reasons we are requiring that parents pre-register their children for the service date and time that they plan to attend. This will allow us to ensure that we do not exceed capacity and are able to follow safety protocols and procedures effectively. In order to align with our local school district guidelines, we will be requiring that all adults and kids 1st grade and up wear masks at all times. Younger children are encouraged to wear makes going to and from their classrooms.
The following safety protocols will be implemented in all Kid’s Ministry Classrooms:
- Kids will remain in their classroom for all activities (no large group gatherings)
- Social distancing seating in all classes
- Individual supplies provided for each child
- Individual toy bags provided for each child
- Frequent handwashing, hand sanitizer will be distributed prior to snacks
- Serving prepackaged snacks only
- We are asking only one parent to be involved in drop off and pick up to the classroom door.
- Activities in 1st-4th grade classes will include social distancing
- Activities in Preschool classes will have age appropriate modified social distancing
Our Kid’s Ministry Curriculum will also remain available through our online campus via the Kid’s Ministry at Home page.
Wednesday Night Preteen Gathering
Starting October 7, 2020 our Preteens will be resuming their Wednesday night activities from 6:30pm – 8pm. Wednesday night activities will not require advance registrations. However, in order to align with our local school district guidelines, we will be requiring that our Preteens wear masks to their Wednesday night service

Physical distancing for the good of others
While attending a service at our Onsite Campus you will be asked to help us be physically distant in the following ways:
- A distance of six feet (3 chairs) should be maintained between families
- Face masks are required within the church building. We will have masks available for thos who do not have one
- For those who wish to give to Northwood we have a no-contact receptacle available when you exit the Worship Center. We will also continue to offer online giving options
Online Giving

Dream Team volunteers will be trained on new physical distancing protocols
- Volunteers & staff will undergo a health screening prior to services
- Face masks are required for volunteers & staff. Gloves may be required for those performing specified tasks
Volunteer to Serve

New sanitizing protocols have been put into practice
- The Worship Center will be disinfected prior to each service
- Restrooms will be disinfected every 15-20 minutes
- Hand sanitizer stations will be readily available throughout the building
- Kid’s Ministry classrooms will be disinfected prior to each service
