Connect with us during Covid-19
Update from Pastor Scott: April 30, 2020
How to Stay Connected:
Although we are currently meeting virtually we want to encourage you to get connected and stay connected with Northwood Church. Now more than ever it is important that we take intentional steps to build a supportive local community. Our online connect card is a place where you can request to talk with someone and submit prayer requests. For those who are ready to take your next steps in faith through committing your life to Christ or through baptism fill out the online connect card and we will contact you! Online Next Steps Card
To ensure that we continue to live out our calling to being disciples and living as family we want to encourage everyone to join a Virtual Group. We’ve recently launched our Virtual Sermon Series Groups. Each week these groups will delve deeper into the scriptures and topics that are covered in the Sunday message. You can join today by clicking the link below! Join a Group
During this time we also want to provide you with Bible lessons and content for your kids. Every week we will update our Kids page with material to go along with the upcoming “big church” message. It will include:
- Kids Worship videos
- A video message for Kids from Pastor Scott
- A craft to reinforce the topic
- A discussion guide so you can bring the message to your kid’s level of learning.
Students know better than all of us how to leverage the internet to maintain meaningful connections with one another. If you’re a 7th – 12th grader we have multiple opportunities throughout the week for you to join together with your peers to grow in your faith.
Mondays @ 7pm on ZoomStudents, parents, and leaders are welcome to join us Mondays at 8pm on our Zoom call! We will stay connected and share ways that we can keep thriving during these unprecedented times. As always, we will encourage one another and play some fun games and win prizes.
Wednesdays @ 8pm on IG LiveJoin us on the Student Ministry IG account as we go live Wednesdays at 8pm. Prior to our gathering, we are asking students to reach out to a friend to check in on how they are doing, provide them with encouragement, and ask if they would like to read and discuss a short passage of scripture. This week we’ll be talking about Ephesians 1:11-23. During your conversation, take note of the ways this scripture leads you to learn more about yourself, the world, & God. If any questions arise as part of your brief Bible study write them down! When we go live we will all come together to discuss the passage, share what we learned, and answer questions. Follow @nwstudents on IG to join us!
Most importantly, Northwood has never been just a Sunday church. Now is the time for us to rise up and be the hands and feet of Jesus and meet the needs of our community. We have coordinated the following service opportunities for those who are healthy and able:
- Weekly groceries for families in need: You can help fund this effort by giving a recurring or one-time donation online. Be sure to choose the “Love your Neighbor Ministry” on the dropdown menu.
We know this is a difficult time for many. At Northwood, we are committed to serving our community in every way we can. If you, your family, or your neighbors require assistance please use the link below to notify us. Request Assistance
