To achieve a healthy marriage, we need to unpack this emotional baggage from our past, especially from our family of origin. We’ll identify what we brought into our marriage by being grateful for what was good and helpful and leave behind what wasn’t good, true, and helpful. How do we begin to study our family trees? This exercise is designed to help us identify some of the baggage we may be carrying and to consider how our marriages may be affected by it.
