FIND & FULFILL YOUR CALLING
Ever wondered what church is all about or why they have it on the weekend? If it wasn’t life-changing, most NorthWood members would probably do something else with their Sundays. But something incredible happens when you experience a relationship with Jesus and other Christian friends—you can’t wait to get there!
At NorthWood, we believe that God created you to be unique and to fulfill a unique plan and purpose for your life. Our goal is to help you identify your God-given gifts and talents, and use those talents for a greater purpose.
For many, just being good moms and dads to young children is the call God’s placed on you at this particular time. For others, serving in our community or in other parts of the world might provide the significance that you desire. But actively seeking all God has in store for you is a journey to fulfillment—a journey we want you to take with us.
At NorthWood, you’ll find the tools and resources you need to get started on your amazing adventure. There are many ministry opportunities available right now in which you may become involved. But beyond that, if God’s placed a dream in your heart to do something fantastic, maybe something no one else is doing, we want to help you do that, too!
Come and check us out on a Sunday. You’ll discover this is a church worth getting out for!
What To Expect
WHAT IS THE STYLE OF YOUR WORSHIP SERVICES?
Our two weekend services at 9:30 and 11:00am are virtually identical. They feature relevant modern music, video, art and a message allowing you to authentically experience God.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Whatever you normally wear. We are more concerned with meeting you than with your attire. At NorthWood, you’ll see nearly every style of clothing. Just don’t wear a tie unless you want us to know you’re a visitor!
WHERE DO I GO WHEN I FIRST ARRIVE ON YOUR CAMPUS?
From the moment you pull onto campus, our parking team and greeters will help you find your way. If you have questions, just ask!
WHAT IF I STILL HAVE QUESTIONS?
Call the church offices at 817-656-8150 or email Info@NorthWoodChurch.org.
What Makes Us Unique
There are a number of unique things you should know about NorthWood. For instance, NorthWood has a reputation for serving those with special needs. This is a place where those with special needs can come to belong and experience God in their own unique way.
During both worship services, children with special needs have an opportunity to learn about and experience the love of Jesus through learning activities designed specifically for them in the Joy Zone. REVIVE is a free parents night out program for children with special needs and their siblings. A staff of trained, loving volunteers care for the children while mom and dad enjoy a night out or a restful evening at home.
There are many opportunities to serve and to be served in our special needs ministry. Find out how you can become involved today!
A key word in NorthWood’s vocabulary is glocal (global + local). We feel it is important for our members to take their faith outside our church walls and to make an impact for Jesus Christ in our community and around the world. We serve others using our jobs, our skills and our passions.
There are countless ways to become involved. For example, some of our members volunteer at Parkview Elementary, West Birdville Elementary, or Nash Elementary which are Title 1 schools that NorthWood has adopted and partnered with in the Ft Worth area. Moms, dads, kids and grandparents are involved at the Haltom City Senior Center. Other members are working with orphans in Mexico or developing child abuse prevention programs in Vietnam. These are just a few ways the NorthWood Family is making a lasting impact, both locally and globally.
Whatever God has for you, you can find and fulfill your unique, God-given purpose at NorthWood. Those at NorthWood come from many different faith and cultural backgrounds. We welcome you regardless of your background, religion or ethnicity.
